What is the collection process?

Collections can be arranged over the phone, or by email.  Our admin staff will work on arranging a date and time that is suitable with you, and send over a calendar appointment and collections forms to confirm and sign.  On the day of collection, our driver/s will arrive and collect your equipment and ask you to sign the prepared waste note required for all WEEE collections.

Once the collection is complete, you will receive a copy of the waste note along with a full asset report and data destruction certificate confirming all data has been destroyed. This is a legal document which must be kept on file for a minimum of 3 years. This is in Compliance with WEEE Regulations. Our working process comprises of 4 steps on average, this starts from the moment we have liaised with our on-site contact:

  1. Collection - assessed Individually

  2. Asset auditing - WEEE is arranged into assigned areas and processed

  3. Repair /Refurb (Inc Data Removal) - asset tag removal, refurbishment of WEEE, and data destruction

  4. Resale / Recycle

CWL's moto is "the best way to recycle is to reuse"

CASH IN YOUR I.T.

For organisations that have a vast amount of redundant IT Equipment for disposal, such as building closures, insurance write-offs, desktop rollouts etc... CWL could pay rebates back on assets collected!

Providing a proportion of the kit is in a reusable condition, after processing and assessment has been carried out, there may be an allocated amount of funding available. A typical organisation that would meet this criteria as an example could be a site closure where around 100 assets require collection. To see if you qualify for funds back, Contact Us today.
